Outdoor Facilities

The heart of our outdoor facility, our campground, is a peaceful setting by the river and amidst the trees.Program participants may gather outside by the majestic twin pines, around our campfire circle or inside our beautiful new 30 foot yurt with a dance quality floor and chairs or pillows available for seating.

A short walk from the campground through the woods and across the river is a sacred space for gathering and ceremony. This expansive area has a medicine wheel, a labyrinth, an inipi style sweat lodge and a new low ropes course.

The land is a rich variety of ecologies with a small year round river, open pasture, forest walks and views from Meditation Point or our High Point. There are plenty of sites for vision quest participants and other leadership-building programs.

A program held at the campground (with people housed in a combination of our indoor and outdoor spaces) can accommodate up to 45 people. There are a variety of sleeping arrangements available.

We have:

• 25 Tent Sites
• A soft-sided dome that sleeps 2-4 people
• A soft-sided yurt that sleeps 2-3 people
• 7 indoor guest rooms that sleeps 2 per room; 2 indoor family guest rooms that sleeps 4 per room
• Additional indoor sleeping can be made available in a dormitory style fashion

The campground has a beautiful straw bale bathhouse with a side for men and one for women, each with shower stalls and sinks. Toilet facilities are discreetly located as composting outhouses.

Our facilities are available for program participants as well as visitors of Hummingbird Community. We welcome your inquiries and an exploration of the possibility of accommodating your program at our little piece of heaven!
