Native Plant Friends – A-L

Many people , when they think of New Mexico, think of prickly pear cactus and brown hillsides dotted with juniper. We are fortunate to live in the lush foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains where we have hundreds of species of plants and trees that create a rich tapestry of diverse flora.

Come take a little plant walk with us and marvel at the beautiful foliage and bountiful blossoms that are our neighbours.

Poisonous plants are highlighted in red print.

(My apologies for any errors I have made in identifying species. Please feel free to email me with corrections at faithinaseed@yahoo.com)
