Hummingbird starts from a place of valuing resonance, right relation, right timing, right circumstance and alignment with our vision, mission, values and processes. We are open to considering crafting unique alignments with each new resident as appropriate, given the values outlined above.
For those that are interested in engaging with Hummingbird more formally, there are two entry pathways: Co-Hearts and Exploring Relationship.
- The Co-Hearts Pathway is for individuals who are responding to an inner calling to become more deeply involved with Hummingbird but not live on the land. Co-Hearts consider Hummingbird as a spiritual home and feel called to co-create with their time, resources, and gifts. Co-Hearts also visit and stay in the guest spaces when they feel called.
- The Exploring Relationship Pathway is for kindred souls who feel a calling to live at Hummingbird full time with an eye towards a long-term relationship. Upon completion of the Exploring Relationship Pathway, if there is mutual recognition and right relationship, one would become a Participating Member or Apprenticing Steward.
BEFORE ENGAGING A PATHWAY…
There are a number of opportunities throughout the year in which you may visit Hummingbird to get to know us better. We highly recommend attending one of our upcoming events and/or joining a community activity such as our Visitor Work Weekends.
If your life circumstances do not permit you to join us in a scheduled program, then you can contact us to explore the possibility of a visit. Often the process of getting acquainted might include several visits.
To keep you updated on upcoming programs and community activities, we send out notices called Hummingbird Happenings, and our bi-monthly eNewsletter, Hummingbird Buzz.
